Dreams Don’t Come Easy
When the weight of the world weighs on your shoulders, what do you do? Do you panic or get anxious, frozen in fear?
No dream is easy to achieve. The dreams that the Lord blesses are the ones worth pursuing. I have recently had the Lord begin to give me a desire of my heart that I’ve had for a long time. I am filled with joy and gratefulness, yet a cloud has settled over me.
Some tough choices need to be made that come along with the blessing. Isn’t it interesting how multi-faceted blessings can be?
Can a heart be filled with gratefulness and fear at the same time? One moment you are praising the Lord, so happy with the blessing He is giving you. The next moment you are fearful because you don’t know if you can take the next step.
You can, and will, take the next step. God has given you and I the Holy Spirit, who is more than able to guide us in the right direction! Don’t let the blessing become an obstacle. Be careful not to become obsessed with the “what-ifs” of the situation.
Choose to Joyfully Trust Him
Choose to be filled with the joy of the Lord as you journey down this road to trusting Him more! I wish I could tell you things will be easier after this. If it was easy, do you think you’d appreciate it as much? I know, deep down, that I wouldn’t. Sure, it would be nice to say that something was easy; but that’s not really how life works.
I heard this in Sunday school today: The highest form of worship is to trust Him; even when it seems like He isn’t moving.
I’m really bad at sitting still. Relaxing seems to be such an odd concept for me, a doer. Sometimes being still means you are patiently waiting for Him to move.
To fully and gratefully receive blessings, we must wait on the Lord. Our confidence and trust in Him should grow as we pray, read the word, and seek His will daily.
And remember, He is with you. Don’t be discouraged. Feel weak today? He will give you strength. Fell down, thinking you’ll never get up again? He will pull you up with His righteous right hand.
May God bless you as you go throughout this week!
